How long do bridal alteration usually take?

Alterations for a bridal gown will have at least two to three fittings before it will be perfect. However, each gown, figure, and vision is unique and sometimes can take more or less fittings. For alterations to be completed in less time, a rush fee of up to $250.00 may apply.

What do I need to bring with me to my appointment?

You will need to bring the shoes you plan to wear on your wedding day along with the proper undergarments you plan to wear. This can include a bra, shapewear, lingerie, stickies, slip, etc.

Will you alter a dress not purchased at Smile and Blush Boutique?

Yes, as long as our seamstresses are able to take the work into their schedules.

Do you charge a consultation fee to with the seastress for customizations?

No, but you must schedule an appointment to meet with a seamstress.

Can you customize my wedding dress?

Yes.

Will you alter my bridesmaid dress?

Yes, we will alter any bridesmaid, flower girl, mothers dress, prom or other formal wear.

How long do alterations take on non-bridal dresses?

Non-bridal apparel can take up to four to six weeks to be completed. If you need your garment completed in less time, a rush fee may apply.

Will you steam/press my garment after alterations?

If your gown has been purchased from Smile and Blush Boutique, your steaming and/or pressing is included in the cost of your gown. If you purchased your gown from another location, we can steam and press your dress for a fee.

Can I get my measurements so I can order a dress online?

Yes, whether you buy from us or another store, we can measure you for $10.00.

Standard measurements are bust, waist, hips, and hollow to hem.
